THE HUDSON MAN, CHARGED IN A JANUARY 24TH

STABBING, PLED GUILTY YESTERDAY IN COLUMBIA

COUNTY COURT. 44 YEAR OLD CEDRIC FULTON

PLEAD GUILTY TO SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT.

HE'LL BE SENTENCED FEBRUARY 25TH.

 

 

TWO PEOPLE WERE TAKEN TO ALBANY MED AFTER

A HEAD-ON COLLISION THURSDAY IN PURLING.

CAIRO AND ROUND TOP FIREMEN, PLUS TWO

AMBULANCES TREATED THE INJURED ON MOUNTAIN

AVENUE. THE CRASH CLOSED THE ROAD FOR A

PERIOD.

 

 

A 59 YEAR OLD MAN WAS TAKEN TO COLUMBIA

MEMORIAL WITH HEAD INJURIES, HE RECEIVED IN 

A THREE CAR ACCIDENT YESTERDAY IN HUDSON. 

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS WERE CALLED TO UNION 

AND 4TH STREETS.

 

 

FIRE IN WEST GHENT THURSDAY MORNING DAMAGED

A GARAGE. THREE FIRE COMPANIES WERE CALLED

TO 22 ORCHARD ROAD JUST BEFORE 6:30. FIRE

OFFICIALS SAY IT WAS CAUSED BY A FAULTY

AIR COMPRESSOR.

 

 

THE RED CROSS IS ASSISTING A FAMILY OF FIVE

AFTER A HOUSE FIRE YESTERDAY MORNING IN

PINE PLAINS. THE FIRE BEGAN IN THE

BASEMENT OF THE HOME ON BIRCH DRIVE.

 

 

SIX CORRECTIONS OFFICERS AT THE GREENE

CORRECTIONAL FACILITY ARE BEING CREDITED

WITH SAVING THE LIFE OF A CIVILIAN EMPLOYEE.

THE 62 YEAR OLD MAN WAS FOUND UNCONSCIOUS

ON THE FLOOR OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING.

AN AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR WAS

USED AND THE MAN REGAINED CONSCIOUSNESS,

BEFORE BEING TRANSPORTED TO ALBANY MED.

 

 

FOLLOWING AN INVESTIGATION INTO A REPORTED

LARCENY IN CAIRO, A TOWN WOMAN FACES FELONY

CHARGES. 27 YEAR OLD CYNTHIA DEAN WAS

CHARGED BY STATE POLICE WITH GRAND LARCENY

AND HELD ON 1500 DOLLARS BAIL.

 

 

TWO HUDSON RESIDENTS WERE TAKEN TO THE

COLUMBIA COUNTY JAIL, FOR ALLEGEDLY, NOT

PAYING FOR A TAXI RIDE. HUDSON POLICE

CHARGED 20 YEAR OLD TREY MCCLEESE AND

34 YEAR OLD CLARISSA BARTLES WITH THEFT

OF SERVICES. BOTH WERE HELD ON 1000

DOLLARS BAIL.

STATE POLICE ARE LOOKING FOR THE PUBLIC'S

HELP WITH THE INVESTIGATION INTO A REPORTED

ARMED ROBBERY MONDAY AT THE SUNOCO STATION

ON ROUTE 22 IN CANAAN. THE 25 YEAR OLD

EMPLOYEE WAS TREATED FOR INJURIES AT COLUMBIA 

MEMORIAL. A SEARCH FOR THE TWO MEN INVOLVED 

HAS BEEN ONGOING. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION IS 

ASKED TO CALL 851-3111.

 

 

THE HUDSON MAN, ACCUSED OF STABBING ANOTHER

HUDSON MAN IN THE BACK JANUARY 24TH, IS 

SCHEDULED TO APPEAR THIS MORNING IN COLUMBIA 

COUNTY COURT. 44 YEAR OLD CEDRIC FULTON WAS 

CHARGED BY HUDSON POLICE WITH FELONY ASSAULT. 

HE HAS BEEN HELD SINCE HIS ARREST.

 

 

A CLAVERACK MAN WAS TAKEN TO THE COLUMBIA

COUNTY JAIL, CHARGED WITH UNLAWFUL IMPRISONMENT

AND CRIMINAL OBSTRUCTION OF BREATHING. 

THE COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

ARRESTED 21 YEAR OLD TYLER ROSSI AT THE

VICTIM'S HOME. BAIL WAS SET AT 1000 DOLLARS.

 

 

A TRAFFIC STOP ON MAIN STREET IN CAIRO HAS

LEAD TO THE ARREST OF A PRESTON HOLLOW MAN.

49 YEAR OLD GARY WOOD WAS CHARGED BY STATE

POLICE WITH FELONY-CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF

A WEAPON, DWI, AND MARIJUANA POSSESSION.

HE WAS HELD AFTER BEING CHARGED.

 

 

A 25 YEAR OLD WOMAN WAS TAKEN TO FAIRVIEW

HOSPITAL WITH INJURIES FROM A ONE CAR

ACCIDENT WEDNESDAY MORNING IN ANCRAM.

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS RESPONDED TO ROUTE

22 NEAR WHITE HOUSE CROSSING ROAD AFTER

THE WOMAN STRUCK A TREE.

 

 

CHATHAM FIREMEN WERE CALLED TO A HOME

ON ROUTE 295 YESTERDAY, AFTER A FIRE

IN A HEATER SPREAD INTO A WALL. 

FIREMEN WERE ON THE SCENE FOR 90

MINUTES UNTIL THE HOME WAS VENTILLATED.

VOTERS IN THE HUDSON CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT

APPROVED TWO PROPOSITIONS TUESDAY. THE

FIRST, A 19.2 MILLION DOLLAR CAPITAL

IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PASSED 611 TO 399.

THE OTHER, WHICH APPROVES THE SALE OF

THE FORMER CLAVERACK SCHOOL, PASSED

OVERWHELMINGLY.

 

 

A CAIRO FAMILY FACES CHARGES, FOR 

ALLEGEDLY ASSAULTING A WOMAN AT THE STONE

GATE MOBILE HOME PARK IN CAIRO. 18 YEAR

OLD ALYSSA MCINTOSH WAS CHARGED WITH

FELONY ASSAULT AND SEVERAL OTHER CHARGES.

STATE POLICE SAY A BASEBALL BAT WAS

USED. A FEMALE VICTIM WAS TAKEN TO

COLUMBIA MEMORIAL. 19 YEAR OLD DAVID

MCINTOSH AND 43 YEAR OLD ELISA

MCINTOSH WERE BOTH CHARGED WITH

HARASSMENT. 

 

 

ONE PATIENT WAS TAKEN TO ALBANY MED,

AFTER THEIR CAR STRUCK A UTILITY POLE

ON HILL STREET IN STOTTVILLE LAST NIGHT.

 

OTHER ACCIDENTS TUESDAY, WHERE THE INJURED

WERE TAKEN TO AREA HOSPITALS, WERE ON

ROUTE 81 IN GREENVILLE, ROUTE 23B IN CAIRO,

AND AT 6TH AND COLUMBIA STREETS IN HUDSON

 

 

A HUDSON WOMAN WAS TAKEN TO THE COLUMBIA

COUNTY JAIL ON DWI CHARGES AFTER AN

ACCIDENT ON THE 800 BLOCK OF COLUMBIA

STREET. 56 YEAR OLD BOYCE BILLINGSLEY

WAS HELD ON 1000 DOLLARS BAIL. LAST

SUMMER, SHE WAS CHARGED BY HUDSON POLICE

AFTER SHE STRUCK SEVERAL PARKED CARS

AND A UTILITY POLE ON WARREN STREET. 

 

 

THE TANNERSVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND RESCUE

SQUAD HAVE BEEN AWARDED A 150 THOUSAND

DOLLAR GRANT FROM HOMELAND SECURITY FOR

EQUIPMENT AND TRAINING, FOR THEIR ROPE

RESCUE PROGRAM. A CEREMONY WILL BE HELD

TONIGHT AT THE FIREHOUSE, BEGINNING

STATE POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING THE DEATH

OF A MAN SUNDAY, AT THE STEWARTS ON ROUTE

23B IN LEEDS. SOURCES SAY, THE MAN WAS

FOUND ON THE FLOOR OF A BATHROOM BY

ANOTHER CUSTOMER. THE STORE WAS CLOSED

BY POLICE WHILE THE INVESTIGATION WAS

UNDERWAY.

 

 

STATE POLICE WERE SEARCHING FOR A MAN

IN CANAAN YESTERDAY, THAT IS BELIEVED TO

HAVE ROBBED THE SUNOCO STATION ON ROUTE 22.

K-9 UNITS AND HELICOPTERS WERE PART OF

THE SEARCH. THE 25 YEAR OLD CLERK REPORTED 

MONDAY MORNING THAT HE HAD BEEN ROBBED AT 

GUNPOINT AND ASSAULTED. CHATHAM RESCUE WAS 

ALSO CALLED TO THE SCENE. 

 

 

CONGRESSMAN CHRIS GIBSON ANNOUNCED MONDAY

THAT HE HAS FILED A STATEWIDE CANDIDATE

COMMITTEE, TO EXPLORE RUNNING FOR GOVERNOR

IN 2018. GIBSON SAYS HE WON'T MAKE A FINAL

DECISION UNTIL HIS CONGRESSIONAL TERM

ENDS. HE'LL BE ANSWERING MEDIA QUESTIONS 

ON THE ISSUE THIS MORNING AT ALBANY AIRPORT.

 

 

VOTERS IN THE HUDSON CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT

WILL GO TO THE POLLS TODAY, TO VOTE ON A

19.9 MILLION DOLLAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT 

PROJECT. THE PROJECT, WHICH INCLUDES ALL

THE DISTRICT'S BUILDINGS, COMES WITH A TAX 

INCREASE. VOTING IS FROM NOON TO NINE AT:

GREENPORT NUMBER ONE FIREHOUSE

CLAVERACK FIREHOUSE

STOTTVILLE FIREHOUSE

A 42 YEAR OLD WOMAN WAS INJURED YESTERDAY

MORNING IN A CAR ACCIDENT ON JEFFERSON

HEIGHTS IN CATSKILL. LAST NIGHT EMERGENCY

CREWS RESPONDED TO A CRASH ON ROUTE 9W

IN NEW BALTIMORE.

 

 

A BRUSH FIRE BROUGHT KINDERHOOK AND VALATIE

FIREMEN TO FISHER ROAD MONDAY. FIRE BLACKENED

A 2O SQUARE FOOT AREA. EAST DURHAM FIREMEN ALSO 

ON THE SCENE OF A BRUSH FIRE, ALONG COUNTY ROUTE

CATSKILL FIREMEN WERE CALLED TO THE 

HOP-O-NOSE APARTMENTS LAST NIGHT FOR A

STRUCTURE FIRE. ARRIVING UNITS FOUND

FLAMES COMING FROM A SECOND STORY WINDOW.

HUDSON AND ATHENS ALSO RESPONDED. THE

FIRE WAS CONTAINED TO ONE APARTMENT.

THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE RED CROSS

IS ASSISTING THE VICTIMS.

 

 

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS WORKED TO FREE A

77 YEAR OLD WOMAN SUNDAY, AFTER HER CAR

ROLLED OVER ON ROUTE 385, SOUTH OF THE

VILLAGE OF ATHENS. THE WOMAN WAS TRAPPED

IN THE VEHICLE. THE ROAD WAS CLOSED FOR

A PERIOD.

 

 

OTHER ACCIDENTS OVER THE WEEKEND WERE

ON ROUTE 32 IN FREEHOLD, COUNTY ROUTE 11

IN GALLATIN, AND OAK HILL ROAD IN 

MELLENVILLE.

 

 

A 50 YEAR OLD MAN WAS TREATED FOR INJURIES

AFTER HE WAS STRUCK BY A FALLING TREE LIMB

ON SATURDAY. THE ACCIDENT WAS ON INDIAN

TRAIL IN SPENCERTOWN.

 

 

FIREMEN WERE ON THE SCENE OF A CHIMNEY

FIRE SATURDAY IN GALLATIN. IT WAS AT 165

SUNNYSIDE LANE.

 

 

TWO ORANGE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE ARRESTED

ON ROUTE 9W IN CATSKILL. 44 YEAR OLD

JEREMY PICHE AND 39 YEAR OLD SITA SPOTO OF

PINE BUSH WERE CHARGED BY STATE POLICE WITH 

TRESPASS. THEY WERE GIVEN APPEARANCE TICKETS 

FOR COURT.

 

 

AN ANCRAM MAN FACES CHARGES FROM AN DOMESTIC

INCIDENT AT A CLAVERACK RESIDENCE. THE 

COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE CHARGED 33 

YEAR OLD BENJAMIN DOTY WITH CRIMINAL TRESPASS 

AND HARASSMENT. HE WAS RELEASED PENDING A

COURT APPEARANCE.

 

 

THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL

CONSERVATION IS ADVISING PEOPLE TO BE CAREFUL

ON THE ICE. THEY SAY, DUE TO THE LATE 

START OF WINTER, AND THE RECENT WARM SPELL, 

THE ICE IS NOT AS THICK AS IT WOULD

TYPICALLY BE IN EARLY FEBRUARY.
