A Star-Studded Tribute to Randy Travis

Some of the biggest names in country music honored the legendary singer Randy Travis.“1 Night. 1 Place. 1 Time: A Heroes and Friends Tribute to Randy Travis” at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville featured more than 30 country stars including Garth Brooks, Tanya Tucker, Chris Young, Josh Turner, Scotty McCreery, Alison Krauss, Jamey Johnson, Chris Janson, Wynonna, Kenny Rogers, Alabama and more.

Highlights of the evening included Garth’s performance of Randy’s classic “Forever and Ever Amen,” as well as Tanya Tucker singing Travis’ favorite tune “I Told You So,” Krauss and Johnson performing "Deeper Than the Holler," Janson’s take on "Look Heart, No Hands" and Young’s version of “This Is Me.”

Randy, who’s speech has been impaired since a 2013 stroke, helped close the night on an emotional high, leading the crowd and the artists in “Amazing Grace,” followed by “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.” Check out video from the show to the right.

During the show, Randy was honored with a career achievement award by his longtime label Warner Music Nashville. The award recognized the more than 25 million albums Randy’s sold, as well as his 22 number one hits and six number one albums.
