Kaatsbaan is an amazing part of the Hudson Valley. Here, professional dancers, choreographers, and the dance community have access to beautiful spaces in which to create, dream, and dance. They have room to experiment, rehearse, train, as well as perform.
While Coronavirus has taken many things away and put many others on hold, creativity, dance, and art are not on those lists. They are alive and well at Kaatsbaan' s Summer Festival presented over nine consecutive weekends from their Cultural Park in Tivoli. It will also be presented on the organization's social media pages, including YouTube.
More than 40 dance artists will perform alongside art and film installations. It is a chance to bring communities together to celebrate art here in the Hudson Valley.
All performance tickets are free and advanced registration is required as there are a limited number of reserved spots per performance. Temperature checks, physical distancing for both audience and performers, and mask wearing will follow New York State protocols.
