The Dutchess County Fair Will be Back This August

Swing Ride at the Fair

It's a tradition for many families here in the Hudson Valley. The place to be the last few weeks before school starts is the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck for the Dutchess County Fair. But last year, the midway was quiet, no animals were on Livestock Hill, and no music filled the Grandstand.

This year will be different because the Dutchess County Fair is returning to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds Tuesday, August 24 through Sunday, August 29, according to Dutchess County Fair President/CEO Andy Imperati. While, as of yet, there hasn't been any guidance for county fairs to reopen, Andy Imperati addressed that in a press release,

"We are still waiting for COVID-19 guidelines from Albany and have been actively working with our County Executive and his team as well as the Dutchess County Department of Health to have a plan in place to safely open our gates. As we get closer to the fair, we will look at what protocols will need to be in place for us to have a fair.”

While this year's fair may look different from those in the past, there will still be a chance for families and friends to come together, have some fun, and make memories! We are so happy to be able to say, we will see you at the fair!
