Two Arrested For Gun Possession

According to Mid-Hudson News,

HIGHLAND – Two Poughkeepsie men have been arrested by Lloyd Town Police on felony charges of criminal possession of a weapon following a traffic stop in the Town of Lloyd on Friday, April 1.

Khiry Hines-Peppers, 31, was driving the vehicle with Michael Birney, 30, as a passenger.

Police found a handgun in their car leading to the charge.

Hines-Peppers was also wanted on a bench warrant from Town of Wallkill Police for an assault.

He was arraigned, released and turned over the Wallkill Police. He is due back in Lloyd Town Court later this month.

Birney was also wanted on an arrest warrant for assault and criminal mischief from Village of Wappingers Falls Police. He was arraigned in Lloyd, released and turned over to Wappingers Falls Police.

He is also due back in Lloyd Town Court later in April.
