So you've been planning on taking the family to dinner at the newly opened Poughkeepsie Golden Corral. Like the doors of the restaurant, unfortunately your window of opportunity has closed.

After two months and multiple problems, the Poughkeepsie Golden Corral has reportedly closed its doors for good.

According to a Hudson Valley Country report , the franchise has informed customers that the location has been shut down and the franchise agreement has been terminated, meaning the eatery will remain closed indefinitely. They did not acknowledge the closing on social media (below). In fact, just three days ago, they posted a Help Wanted ad on their Twitter account mentioning "endless opportunities." Unfortunately, the franchise's Poughkeepsie location couldn't live up to the hype.

The restaurant faced many problems. It was scheduled to open in September, but faced several delays with the opening being pushed back to November, December and finally January. Nearly three months ago, Poughkeepsie Golden Corral was scheduled to open it's doors (again) on New Year’s Eve to great fanfare. Delays pushed the opening back two weeks to January 15th due to issues with the building’s gas line. Then, just last month, in February, the Poughkeepsie Golden Corral unexpectedly was closed down for a weekend for undisclosed reasons.

Golden Corral has 500 locations across 41 states.
