Flash Flood Warning in Effect For Orange County

After a day of building heat and humidity, storms have been popping up throughout the Hudson Valley. Some of these storms have had heavy rainfall, such as the line that went through Middletown, Pine Bush, Maybrook, Montgomery, Circleville, as well as other locations throughout Orange County.

Because of the amount of rain that has already fallen, with more on the way, these locations could see more than 3 inches of rain in a short period of time. As a result, the National Weather Service has Issued a Flash Flood Warning for Orange County until 9 tonight.

Water covered roadways are always dangerous but are even more so at night when it is difficult to see flooding occurring. Turn around, don't drown. If you see flooding happening, get to a safe place and please report it to your local authorities.

Hudson Valley Weather, as always, is keeping a close eye on the situation and will provide updates throughout the evening.
