Going to the movies is a fun way to spend an evening or weekend afternoon, You get your ticket, snacks, and then you settle in for a few hours and enjoy the movie on the big screen. But, what if you or someone you know has some sensory issues, loud noises just set you on edge, or maybe your child is on the Autism spectrum and sitting through a movie is tough.
Here's some good news, Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro is inviting residents to a special Red Carpet Movie Day, Saturday, November 9, at the Roosevelt Cinemas in Hyde Park for those individuals with disabilities and their families.
The theater will not only adjust the sound, but the lighting as well, to make it easier and more enjoyable for some residents to see a movie. The show begins at 10 am and since there are a limited number of seats in the theater, they ask that you reserve your tickets by Wednesday, November 6. All seats are free. Make your online reservation here.
Please help spread the word so that families can have a fun and relaxing morning of movie fun.
