Ulster County Announces the 2020 Seniors of the Year

Every year the Ulster County Executive and the Ulster County Office For the Aging honors area seniors for all the time and effort they spend making their community and Ulster County a better place to live. With so many active and involved seniors, this is no easy task.

Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan announced this year's winners who have a combined 90 years of giving back to their community.

Congratulations to Frances Drakert, who has given freely of her time and talents for the past 30 years to the Hudson River Maritime Museum. She knows her stuff when it comes to the history and lore of the Hudson River and has volunteered in any capacity needed.

Congratulations also go out to Thomas Wadnola who has given tirelessly to the Boy Scouts of America. He even volunteers at an International Boy Scout Camp in Columbia. In addition, he volunteers teaching computer literacy classes for residents fifty years and older at the Senior Computer Learning Cent at SUNY Ulster.

Thank you both for all of your time and energy spent to help others here in Ulster County!
