County Players Presents CP2 Series Readers Theatre Mini-Festival #3 - March 13 to 15

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY, February 2026 – County Players, one of the longest running community theatre companies in the area will present Season 68 CP2 Readers Theatre Mini-Festival #3 from March 13 - 15 at County Players Falls Theatre located at 2681 W. Main, Wappingers Falls, NY.

Reading #1- “Dear Jack, Dear Louise” by Ken Ludwig will be presented Friday, March 13 at 8pm, and Saturday March 14 at 2pm, and directed by Cynthia Topps. When two strangers meet by letter during World War II, a love story begins. Tony Award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig tells the joyous, heartwarming story of his parents’ courtship and the results are anything but expected. The talented cast features Kayla Collins, Aaron Heisler, and Henry Hernandez.

Reading #2- "Camping with Henry and Tom" by Mark St. Germain will be presented Saturday, March 14 at 8pm, and Sunday, March 15 at 2pm, and directed by Matt Andrews, In 1921, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and President Warren G. Harding took a camping trip together into the Maryland woods to escape civilization. Inspired by an actual event, Camping with Henry and Tom is an exploration of friendship, politics, and leadership; a comedic and dramatic clash of two great minds and one great heart of the twentieth century. Delightful, rollicking, quintessentially American this reading features local actors Champ Knecht, John Leinung, David J. Ringwood, and Robert Yarnall.

CP2 Readers Theatre is an exciting series at County Players which offers an opportunity for actors, directors, and audience members to experience theater in a fresh way: selected plays with full dramatic readings, no costumes, no sets, no props, and the actors perform with scripts in hand. These shows are an incredible opportunity to experience great theater stripped to its essence: the playwright’s words.

TICKETS: Reserved Seating is $15 per reading, and only $25 for both readings on the same weekend. Visit countyplayers.org and at the top of the main page select BUY TICKETS.
