GoPro: Woman Plunges 50 Feet Down a Waterfall, and Survives

This happened back in 2016, but the video was just released. A volleyball player named Heather Friesen accidentally fell down a 50-foot waterfall in Hawaii, and survived.  The entire plunge was recorded on a GoPro that was strapped to her chest. It starts with her looking over the edge . . . and in an instant she slips and starts falling and sliding down super fast before splashing into a pool of water.

It takes about 20 seconds for her to emerge from there. A friend shows up pretty quickly to help her out . . . and it's clear that she's in a lot of pain. She was eventually airlifted off the trail and ended up with 10 broken ribs, a collapsed left lung, a fractured scapula, and multiple wounds. She found out later that other people who fell from that same spot had died.
