Bono Finally Apologizes For "Gifting" Us The 2014 U2 Album

I think we all remember the fateful day in 2014 when we woke up to a whole slew of U2 songs we didn't ask for. I was so lazy I never felt like removing them and still have them to this day which is only disconcerting when my Taylor Swift streak is rudely interrupted by one of U2's worst albums. But I digress...Apparently Bono has finally realized that wasn't cool! Kinda.

From Alt Nation:

“We had a hard time seeing why there was such a strong reaction. Some people I know were a little upset. We should have a minute’s silence for those people who saw this as an atrocity. I think the company was trying to be generous and so were we. It was a bit of an overreach on our part, so sorry about that! It was meant as a gift. People didn’t understand that they’d signed the consent. We should be careful when we tick boxes these days. You need to know what you sign up for because you may get something that you don’t want.”

Basically Bono says sorry not sorry. Guess we should've all paid more attention to the fine print?

Feel free to listen to some actually good U2 songs below:
