Sam Hunt To Perform On 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve'

Sam Hunt will celebrate the end of the decade and kick off 2020 by performing on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest.

The lineup for the annual television broadcast was announced by Ryan Seacrest in a tweet on Tuesday morning (December 17) saying, "going big for the new decade." In addition to Hunt, the lineup also includes Post Malone, BTS and Alanis Morissette with the case of the Broadway musical Jagged Little Pill.

Seacrest will be joined by actress and occasional country singer, Lucy Hale as co-host for the broadcast. Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve will air live from Times Square beginning at 8PM ET on ABC.

This upcoming performance will mark Hunt's first national TV appearance singe his DUI arrest in November. A few weeks before his arrest, his new single, "Kinfolks" was released. This was the first preview Hunt shared with fans at what's to come on his highly anticipated sophomore album.

Hunt previously revealed he plans to be done working on his new album in January with hopes of getting it out to the public before summer when he starts touring. "I'm turning in the record in January," Hunt said. "And it'll come out before we start touring in the summer. So I don't know an exact date but within that window."

Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve will also air live from Miami, New Orleans and Los Angeles in 2019. Kelsea Ballerini, Dan + Shay and Blanco Brown were announced as part of the Los Angeles lineup, hosted by Ciara. Also a part of the Los Angeles lineup is Paula Abdul, Green Day, Dua Lipa, Ava Max, Megan Thee Stallion, Anthony Ramos, Salt-N-Pepa and SHAED.

The New Orleans broadcast, hosted by Billy Porter, features Sheryl Crow and Usher while the Jonas Brothers will perform in Miami.
