The 25th Annual Dutchess County St. Patrick's Parade is Tomorrow!

There's just nothing else like the sound of bagpipes approaching in the distance. I don't think I could ever get tired of hearing that. And I so love all the traditional Irish songs. Well, we've arrived once again at that special time of year when everyone can easily celebrate the Irish, whether or not yourself 'tis Irish. One of the best ways is to join in the merry spirit of the celebration and all the frivolity tomorrow, March 7th, in Wappingers Falls. The Parade steps off at 1:00 with lots of bands, floats, many organizations, and this year's Grand Marshal, Kieran Michael Lalor (Congratulations Kieran!) Yours truly will be there as well.  Wave to me and I'll wave back. (Be sure to wear something green so I'll know it's you!) For more information, visit the Dutchess County St. Patrick's Parade Committee website.

And here's something you'll want to see. The Dutchess County St. Patrick's Parade Committee has put together a very interesting and entertaining video tracing the colorful history of this wonderful Hudson Valley tradition. It was my great pleasure to be the narrator and I came away with a warm appreciation for the history, pride and tradition of this event that continues to this day. I'm looking forward to tomorrow even more now and I think you will be too after you watch this video. Enjoy!
