Schools CLOSED In Dutchess, Ulster And Orange Counties

According to the Poughkeepsie Journal: Students in Dutchess, Ulster and Orange county will spend the next few weeks out of school.

County executives in all three counties announced the closures this afternoon. Schools will be closed for 14 days, beginning on Monday 3/16.

Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan said the change is being made “out of an abundance of caution.” The news comes as two additional cases of Coronavirus were confirmed in Dutchess and another confirmed in Ulster.

According to the Poughkeepsie Journal: Dutchess County noted after two more cases were confirmed in the county today. They are declaring a State of Emergency.
