Dutchess County Business Updates For March 27, 2020

·During his daily press conference, Governor Cuomo announced that schools would remain closed until at least April 15th, with an evaluation on if they can be reopened occurring on April 14th.

·New guidance was issued on which construction work should be considered "essential" and exempt from the 100% shutdown order. That guidance can be found HERE.

·That same guidance also clarified that laundromats, bicycle repair shops, and automotive sales conducted remotely or electronically with in-person vehicle return and delivery by appointment only, are allowed to remain open.

·The state has clarified the language they used in describing how paid family leave should be administered by businesses. Information on this can be found HERE.

·County Executive Molinaro released a summary of what the federal relief package means. You can find the summary on our website labeled "Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act".
