Gov. Cuomo Extending Stay At Home Order & School Closurse til May 15th!

According to the Poughkeepsie Journal, Gov. Andrew Cuomo has extended the stay at home order & school closures till May 15th!

The original order started on March 22nd and was extended till April 29th recently. This will be the second extend of the stay at home order for non-essential business, as well as schools.

Gov. Cuomo announcement came after the state's death toll surpassed 12,000, after 606 who tested positive for COVID-19 died on Wednesday. The hospitalization rate continues to show that the curve is flattening.

Gov. Cuomo also put into executive order to wear mask or face covering when out in public space when six feet of social distancing cannot be maintained. Cumom has also said he would extend this over to require this same rule in public transportation. Public transit and taxi cab drivers will also be required to wear a mask or face covering.
