As Mr. Rogers always told us, look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping and in Rhinebeck you can find them at Rhinebeck Responds.
They look for what needs the community has, coordinates volunteers, and helps get things done. They also have a Small Business Grants Fund which can help Rhinebeck businesses with a grant of up to $5000 and these days that could mean the difference between staying in business or closing up shop.
Here's where you and I come in and become the helpers for the helpers. Rhinebeck Responds is presenting the 'Better Together' Birdhouse Auction featuring bird houses painted by local artists and local celebrities such as Paul Rudd, Hilarie Burton, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and more.
The auction is online and runs through September 14. You can also view the birdhouses displayed in local merchants' windows in Rhinebeck. The monies raised from the auction goes to benefit the Small Business Grants Fund. You could help save your favorite local businesses.
