It's that time of year again. For a few days its warm and maybe a little muggy and then we have a few days where the lows are in the upper forties. I had the air conditioners running two days ago, but now maybe it's time to turn the heat on?
Every year it's the same discussion. When do we put the air conditioners away? When is it okay to turn on the heat? Can we get a break from paying a high electric bill before we pay a high heating bill?
Some years we do, others we don't. Think back a couple of years ago when it snowed before Halloween. With temperatures expected to be in the low thirties for parts of the Hudson Valley this weekend, some might see their first frost.
So, I ask you, have you turned your heat on yet or are you holding out as long as you can?
