Veteran's Day is only a few weeks away, and while we are always grateful for the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform, it is an opportunity to come together and honor those who have given so much to keep us free.
According to Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro, starting at 9 am on November 11, Veteran's Day, a special convoy consisting of county, police, fire, armed services, and local municipalities vehicles will travel through every municipality in Dutchess County.
It's a safe way to pay tribute to and thank our Hudson Valley Veterans and all their sacrifices. The convoy will start at the Dutchess County War Memorial at the intersection of Raymond Avenue and Main Street in the Town of Poughkeepsie and travel a loop through part of the county before returning to the war memorial to lay a wreath by 11 am.
The convoy will then head out again to travel the perimeter parts of the county and once again, return to the Memorial. As the convoy travels, each municipality will join with their vehicles. Click here to view a map of the route so you join in and thank our Hometown Heroes!
