International Women's Day is this Monday. Who will you be celebrating?

The best wishes for women's day

How many women have made an impact on your life? How many times did a woman in your life inspire you, save you, support you, or cheer you on? I wouldn't be who I am without some pretty amazing women in my life. My Mom, Gram, Aunt Laura, my college advisor Dr. Mary Hardwick, and our daughter Micaran who has fought so hard for the life she gets to live every day. Every woman deserves recognition.

March is Women's History Month. There are programs, observances, and celebrations around the country highlighting how important women are in our lives and in our country's history. During March, International Women's Day is celebrated on the eighth. It was first celebrated in 1911, and each year has a different theme to help educate and inspire. This year, the theme is Choose to Challenge.

What will you choose to challenge, gender inequality, mansplaining, wage inequality, or other issues important to you as a woman in the Hudson Valley?

It's also a day to celebrate and honor the women who have made a difference in your life. It could be a sister, grandmother, aunt, mom, friend, teacher, co-worker, supervisor. Share your story about the women who have made a difference in your life and I will read as many as I can on Monday, March 8 during my show from 10 am to 2 pm.

Share your story and share your strength.
