FRANCE-LEISURE-FISHING

Trout fishing season opens this Thursday, April 1 and with a new year comes some new regulations, streamlined ones hoping to increase fishing opportunities, according to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.

These new regulations were put in place after discussions with anglers around the state. Over twenty special regulations in regards to trout stream fishing have been removed, reducing twenty-six regulations to only four in the hopes of extending fishing opportunities.
