Cody Johnson is slated to kick off a nationwide headlining tour at the beginning of 2024, the award-winning country star announced on Monday (September 25). He recruited “my buds” Justin Moore, Chris Janson and Dillon Carmichael to join him on “The Leather Tour.”

Johnson announced days ago that his next full-length album, Leather, would make its debut on November 3. The CMA Male Vocalist of the Year nominee posted his album’s release date on Instagram, setting the announcement to his latest ballad to release, “The Painter.” Johnson released the heartwarming single — written  by Benjy DavisKat Higgins and Ryan Larkins and produced by Trent Willmon — last month. Johnson paid tribute to his wife, Brandi, after 15 years together.

“I hope my fans are encouraged to take the time to appreciate the people they have around them,” Johnson said at that time. “The ones who make their life beautiful and bring all the beautiful colors to their world when it could just be black and white and dark. Remember them and tell them you love them.”

The first leg of Johnson’s tour is set to kick off on January 19 in Sacramento, California, per a press release issued on Monday. The list of tour stops announced on Monday include Johnson’s first-ever headlining show at Bridgestone Arena in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

Johnson’s last headlining gig in Nashville was a sold-out show at the new outdoor venue FirstBank Amphitheater last year. His next album to release will follow Ain’t Nothin’ To It in 2019 and Human The Double Album in 2021. See Johnson’s upcoming tour dates here:
