What's Happening This Weekend in the HUdson Valley

Christmas is right around the corner, so instead of being stressed by your shopping list, why not take some time out and have some fun with your friends and family this weekend. Here are a few ideas with links to find even more events throughout the Hudson Valley.

Saturday, December 14: 12:30-4: Children's Reading Festival, Santa, and Cards for the Troops at the Wallace Center at the FDR Presidential Library, presented by the Roosevelt Library and the Poughkeepsie Public Library District. Children's book authors will read from their books as well as sign copies. Children can make holiday cards for the sailors serving on the USS Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. Santa will be on hand to visit with the kids, there will be live music, and refreshments will be served in the lobby. Admission is free. To find more events going on in Dutchess County, click here.

Saturday, December 14; 8:30-10:30: Breakfast with Santa at the Hurley Reformed Church. Crafts will start at 9 and children can get their picture taken with Santa. Admission is $10 12 and up; $5 for3 years to 12; 2 years and under are free. Proceeds go to benefit Puerto Rico Relief Efforts. To make reservations, call 845-331-4121. Saturday, December 14; 12-4: The Gingerbread Experience prsented by the Liberty Museum & Arts Center. Enjoy the Holiday Craft Show and Bake Sale. Saturday, December 14; 11-12:30: Family Fun Holiday Workshop with Santa at the Harness Racing Museum and Hall in Goshen. Have your picture taken with Santa in a one-horse open sleigh, play games, makes crafts, sweet treats available too. Admission is parents free, children $5.
