Michael Phelps said that after the Rio Olympics he was retiring from professional swimming. He's now apparently making an exception for a race against a shark. That's right, a shark.
The most decorated Olympian of all time says he'll come out of retirement to go head-to-head with the predator during Discovery Channel's Shark Week. The details are being kept under wraps, but according to the network, it's "an event so monumental no one has ever attempted it before. The world’s most decorated athlete takes on the ocean’s most efficient predator: Phelps V Shark – the race is on!"
The race will air on July 23rd at 8 pm ET.
