Workers Go On Strike At NY, NJ, Philly Airports

Be prepared for delays and possible cancellations today if  you're planning on flying into or out of New York, Newark, New Jersey or Philadelphia. 

More than one-thousand workers at JFK, LaGuardia and Newark airports have walked off the job while hundreds of workers also plan to picket in Philly today. 

The workers, who are employed by PrimeFlight, a subcontractor for United Airlines, JetBlue and American Airlines, are not unionized, but say they are striking because the company has been fighting them over their efforts to organize.

No word on if the walkout will effect traveling tomorrow on flights. Protestors will include baggage handlers, cabin cleaners and security workers. Organizers say the walkout will continue at least through today.
