If you’re plan on traveling on a plane anytime soon, you may want to leave earlier than usual. The TSA has new guidelines about mobile devices.

The TSA announced yesterday that electronic items larger than cell phones have to be screened separately like laptops are. That means tablets, e-readers, and video game devices all have to be pulled out of your bag and put in a separate bin.

So far, the rules have been tested in 10 airports including Boston, Detroit, LAX, and Philadelphia and will be rolling out nationwide in the coming months. You may want to start getting in the habit now.

If you go the “pre-check” route, you can keep your devices in the bag.
