The cyber bad guys strike again. This the time, the latest victim is HBO.
The breach could compromise its biggest show, "Game of Thrones."
Also compromised are an upcoming episode of "Ballers" and "Room 104." The hackers have put the shows online, along with the script from next week’s fourth episode of "Game of Thrones."
The hackers promise there's more "coming soon." The compromised hack includes 1.5 terabytes of data swiped.
HBO has not released a statement yet regarding the hack but the network does call the hack "disruptive, unsettling, and disturbing." "I can assure you that senior leadership and our extraordinary technology team, along with outside experts, are working round the clock to protect our collective interests," CEO Richard Plepler said in an email to staff. "The efforts across multiple departments have been nothing short of herculean. It is a textbook example of quintessential HBO teamwork. The problem before us is unfortunately all too familiar in the world we now find ourselves a part of."
