The latest model of the original smartphone will be priced "around" 999 dollars. Yes, just under $1,000. The good news is, the device will have the long-rumored face scanner that will replace the fingerprint reader to secure unlocking and mobile payments. Sources say the iPhone 8 will be released on the second weekend in September.
Now the not so good news for Apple. Just 13% of American consumers said that they would buy the iPhone 8 if its price is over one-thousand dollars. A poll by ad company Fluent also found that two-thirds of those asked say one-thousand is too much to pay.
