Taylor Swift Breaks YouTube Record

Nearly 24 hours after releasing the video clip during the MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift's video video for latest song, “Look What You Made Me Do” was viewed over 28 million times, easily surpassing Adele’s record for the most single day views of "Hello" on YouTube. Taylor's record setting video received 27.7 million views in one day. Adele had actually stolen that record from Taylor’s “Bad Blood,” which had 20.1 million views in a day.

Many people don't necessarily like the video. Some people felt the scene of Taylor in the jeweled-filled bathtub was her way of mocking Kim Kardashian’s robbery at gunpoint in Paris, which many felt was cruel, while others just didn’t care for the clip in general.

Taylor's "Look What You Made Me Do" is expected to reach #1 on the the Billboard Hot 100 next week, which will halt "Despacito's" chance at breaking the record for the most weeks at number one on the Hot 100. Taylor's tune debuted at number 77 this week, but it was only released late Thursday night. It is expected to move between 400,000 and 500,000 downloads in its first full week.

Taylor's “Look What You Made Me Do” has now been been viewed over 51 million times since early Monday morning. Check it out below.
