Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation is helping shelters in Houston dealing with Hurricane Harvey. The foundation headed to Houston with trailers full of pet supplies and food, hoping to save animals in need of a safe place amidst the flooding in the city.
“We will help transport any animals currently in shelters so that there is room for displaced animals from Hurricane Harvey!,” they write on Facebook. “Plus any other support we can offer!!! You can help support our efforts by donating at www.muttnationfoundation.com! Friends, please pray for Texas!!”
The group also sent out a request for someone with “a trailer or large vehicle” to help transport about 300 animals from Conroe, TX to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and created an Amazon wishlist of supplies they need for their efforts, including dog and cat toys and treats, paper towels and fleece blankets.
