Miranda Recieves Most CMA Nods - Blake and Jason Shutout

Lauren Alaina, Brothers Osborne and Dustin Lynch didn't mind working on Labor Day. They had the honor of appearing on  ABC's“Good Morning America” yesterday to announce the nominees for the 51st annual CMA Awards.

Miranda Lambert leads all other nominees with five, including nods for Album of the Year for “The Weight of These Wings,” Single of the Year for “Tin Man,” and Female Vocalist of the Year. Coming in close behind Miranda with four nods each are Little Big Town and Keith Urban.

The coveted Entertainer of the Year category includes Keith with Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Eric Church and Chris Stapleton.

Lauren Alaina and Brothers Osborne received a bonus for waking up early yesterday. Lauren learned she's nominated for Best New Artist and Brothers Osborne are once again nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year, which they won last year, as well as Music Video of the Year for “It Ain’t My Fault.”

Unfortunately not every country star can receive a CMA nomination. Among the snubs this year: Although Miranda received the most nods, she was left out of Entertainer of the Year, with the entire category dominated by males; Blake Shelton received absolutely no nods, and neither did Jason Aldean, who was named Entertainer of the Year at the ACM Awards.

The late Glen Campbell also received a surprise nomination, competing for Musical Event for his recording of “Funny How Time Slips Away” with Willie Nelson.

Congratulations to country and pop star Taylor Swift. She received her first CMA nomination since 2014. She’s nominated Song of the Year for writing Little Big Town’s “Better Man”

The 51st Annual CMA Awards, hosted once again by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, air November 8th on ABC.
