E-Cigarettes Officially Banned In NY State
Vapers are not going to be happy that E-Cigarettes are now officially banned all across New York state wherever tobacco is prohibited. The ban goes into effect in 30 days.
The bill signed by Governor Andrew Cuomo yesterday bans vaping in bars, restaurants, or workplaces, essentially any place in the state where smoking real cigarettes is against the law.
The ban on e-cigarettes is an extension of New York's Clean Indoor Air Act which was approved in 2003. The measure goes into effect a month from now. The hope is that it'll reduce the growing popularity of vaping among New York teens.
It’s a 2.5 billion dollar industry yet there have not been enough studies on the products to determine what the health affects are. Nicotine addiction is also a concern, though some vaping oils contain none of that compound.
