(Garth Brooks, Party Marty Mitchell, Trisha Yearwood)
Tens of thousands of fans were getting ready for Garth Brooks last night at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey when the arena lost power.
A power outage left the concert hall darkened at approximately 7:50 pm as the warm-up act was on stage. Concertgoers took to social media to post photos of the darkened arena, complete with videos of the 20-thousand or so audience members making the best of the situation by singing Garth Brooks songs in the dark.
Country star and Garth's wife, Trisha Yearwood joined Garth on stage throughout the shows throughout his world tour.
Power was restored a short time afterward and the show went on as usual. It was the final night of the three shows in NJ on Garth's second to last stop of his three year world tour. The final stop will be six shows (and counting) at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN.
Congratulations to Garth on his first #1 hit on the country charts in over 10 years. This week's top country song, "Ask me how i Know."
