If you happen to own a Tom Brady rookie card from 2000, you may be adding a few more digits to your bank account.
In two weeks, Tom Brady's New England Patriots will be in Super Bowl LII for a rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles. The two teams first met in the big game thirteen years ago in Super Bowl XXXIX. The Most Valuable Player was the Patriot's Deion Branch following their win over the Eagles, 24-21 in Jacksonville, Fla., on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005.
While Brady is going to be preparing for the game, sports memorabilia collectors will be paying attention to an auction, where Brady's rare rookie card is being priced at $500,000. Yes, Half-a-million bucks for a piece of cardboard.
The card is a Fleer Ultra Michigan Card in mint condition from 2000, a year when nobody on the planet thought Tom Brady would be any good, much less the most amazing quarterback of his generation. Check out a photo of the card below.
