NFL Star Gives Super Bowl Tickets To 108-Year-Old WWII Vet

posted by Party Marty Mitchell -

The 108-year-old WWII veteran is headed to the Super Bowl 52 thanks to the kindness of New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan

Jordan and company may not be in Minneapolis for the big game but special Saints superfan Lawrence Brooks will be.  Jordan, who’s up for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award, thanked Brooks for his past military service and said the team and the league wanted to “try to bless somebody who needs tickets.” The pair chatted on Facetime and the conversation was shared on Facebook.

Brooks, after leaving the service, got married and had five children along with five step children. He was a forklift operator and retired in 1974.
