XFL Ready To Lay The Smackdown On NFL
WWE CEO Vince McMahon has confirmed rumors with the official announcement that the XFL will return in 2020
McMahon promises that the “new XFL” will be “extremely family friendly. He added that the league would only accept players who were “quality human beings,” and those who’d even had a DUI wouldn't be allowed.
McMahon says players would know the rules and regulations before they signed with teams. McMahon wants the focus to be on football when teams get on the field, implying "National Anthem" protests won't happen.
McMahon is promising to hire experienced executives to run the XFL, and isn't planning on being "out front" when it comes to the day-to-day operations. McMahon is hoping to bring the XFL back in 2020 – to remind you, the original league lasted only a season in 2001.
