Dutchess residents were alerted regarding the new residency of who has moved from Newburgh to a residence on Spackenkill Road in Poughkeepsie.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Rodriguez a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated for lifetime registration, though he is subject to petition for relief.
Rodriguez had sex with his 11-year-old victim in October 1993 and was convicted of second-degree rape in March the following year according to the Division of Criminal Justice Services,.
He was sentenced to a term of between two and four years in state prison. Rodriguez is now under the jurisdiction of the Poughkeepsie City Police Department.
