Deleting Facebook really will make you feel less stressed. According to a new study, people who deleted Facebook had lower stress levels after five days than people who kept their accounts.
However, there may be some "side effects."
People who deleted their Facebook account had lower levels of "life satisfaction." The researchers think it's because they lost out on the little dopamine bursts you get when someone likes your posts.
You can try and take a break from Facebook and other social media accounts without deleting. You can always return when you're feeling better.
