Clint Black Christmas Musical Set To Debut This Fall

Last October, I mentioned Clint Black has been keeping busy touring and writing songs for a new musical, “Looking For Christmas” (see story below).

Music and lyrics for the show were inspired by Black’s 1995 Christmas album of the same name but also includes a few new tunes written by Black especially for the musical by Black.

The dates have been set. “Looking For Christmas” will debut at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, California on November 20th. The project follows a young veteran with PTSD, who is trying to reconnect with his family, with his youngest daughter’s search for the true meaning of Christmas helping him “make peace with his past on the battlefield.”

“I’m so excited to announce that I’m bringing my album ‘Looking For Christmas’ to life this holiday season in Musical form,” Clint shares. “As a huge fan of Christmastime, I’m always thinking of our military families and what they face during the holidays. I’m especially happy to highlight their story with Looking For Christmas.”

The musical will begin previews at the Old Globe Theatre on November 13th, with the musical set to run until December 16th.
