I have attended many Yankees games through the years. Although close, I have yet to catch a foul ball.
What are the odds of this? A life-long Oakland A's fan named Bill should consider playing the lottery. While enjoying a game between his team and the Kansas City Royals on Sunday, he caught a foul ball in the 7th inning of the game. Then, take a guess what happened on the very next pitch 22 seconds later...Yes, he caught ANOTHER foul ball.
Bill barely had time to high-five his friends and hide the first ball in his pocket. Then he looked up, and ANOTHER ball was headed in his direction.
Bill said he's been going to games his entire life . . . an average of 10 games a year. and he'd NEVER caught a foul ball before this. Now he's done it twice.
Believe it or not, this isn't the first time something like this has happened. Just last year, ANOTHER Oakland A's fan caught two foul balls on back-to-back pitches.
That one wasn't as good though, because the guy had to hustle and grabbed the first one on a bounce. Bill actually CAUGHT both balls, and didn't even have to move.
