Tornado Watch Issued for the Hudson Valley

Tornado

Today started out humid and, as the skies have cleared a bit and the sun is out, the heat is building back up as well. With a cold front expected to pass through the Hudson Valley this evening, it's a bad combination.

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch until 10pm tonight for all of the Hudson Valley. This means that conditions are right to create strong storms that could have some rotation in them. Should the National Weather Service issue a Tornado Warning, which means that a tornado has been sighted or indicated by radar, be prepared to act quickly and get inside to the lowest level of your home or building.

Should the National Weather Service issue any more weather statements, we will keep you updated. Stay safe.
