2 young people charged in Hudson home invasion

According to The Columbia Paper, HUDSON—Hudson Police have charged two youths in connection with a home invasion.

December 20 and 21, two juveniles involved in a home invasion incident at the Hudson Terrace Apartments, 15 Front Street, were arrested on burglary and assault charges.

The home invasion was reported to HPD November 29.

That day at 8:54 p.m., Columbia County 911 transferred a cell phone call to Hudson Police from a woman reporting that several people broke her apartment door down, entered and attacked her juvenile daughter.

Police patrols responded immediately to the area of the Hudson Terrace Apartments and found a large group of 15 to 20 juveniles and several adults in the area. Officers spoke to the juvenile victim who said she was pulled from her apartment and struck several times. Detectives and other uniformed officers responded to the scene to assist in the investigation. The victim received visible contusions and complained of head pain. She declined medical treatment at the time of the incident.

The two juveniles were issued juvenile appearance tickets and they were directed to respond to the Columbia County Probation Department with their guardians at a later date.
