Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman attended the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. The country megastar and award-winning actress brought their family, including teen daughters Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban, 15, and Faith Margaret Kidman-Urban,13, on the red carpet over the weekend. Kidman’s sister, Antonia, and her family, and others also attended that evening.
Kidman was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. She said she was “deeply moved by all of the support around the world that I’ve been seeing and hearing.” Urban posted a heartfelt tribute to his wife on Instagram, and included a list of AFI Life Achievement Award recipients dating back to 1973. Previous recipients include Elizabeth Taylor, Steven Spielberg, Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, Julie Andrews and many others.
“In a career that’s still very much in full flight, tonight the [American Film Institute] will honor my wife as the newest member in this extraordinary fraternity,” Urban said. “Babygirl – I’m so proud of you, and as much as I could come off sounding like the biased husband, I’ll let the list of previous honorees do all of the talking for me. What a list!” He listed, adding a red heart emoji by his wife's name:
